Trek details
The trek from Chopta to Tungnath is about 3.5 km one way, and Chandrashila is roughly 1.5 km further. Allow 4 to 6 hours for the round trip to Tungnath, and more for Chandrashila.
Difficulty
Moderate. The path is well-defined but steep in parts and altitude can cause breathlessness.
